We made a surprise trip into Oregon to check out the Astoria Brewery and Wet Dog Cafe; it seems every brewery West of Spearfish has a full kitchen.

It was Jared's birthday and what a lucky bastard that he spent it drinking fresh beer on an ocean front deck with two charming ladies and a pup. I had the berry seasonal, which was so thick and fruity it was nearly a smoothie--delicious.

To get there we had to cross this scary bridge -->

which was still under construction.

Astoria was a cute little town, but we wanted one more night in Washington, so we made the trek up to Long Beach.

The Sou'wester Campground was surprised to see campers during the week.

It was a very hipster place, complete with rentable RVs from the '60s, complimentary bicycles, the cutest little outdoor kitchen, offsale craft beer, and their own annual art festival dubbed Spaceness.

North Jetty Brewing was within walking distance, so we checked out their IPA--good not great--and stumbled back to the quiet campground, where we had a campfire and the nicest bathrooms I'd seen in weeks. The little twin towns of Long Beach and Seaview were my favorite towns in Washington.
